FAQs

Are you wondering if you have ADHD?

Click here for the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale Screener(ASRS). The screener will help you recognize the signs and symptoms of adult ADHD, but it is not a diagnosis.

Diagnosing ADHD requires extensive knowledge, skills, and training and must be diagnosed by a certified professional like a medical doctor or a psychiatrist.

Who can benefit from coaching?

Anyone looking to achieve personal or professional growth, including young adults, college students, and professionals seeking guidance and support. Individuals facing specific challenges, such as managing ADHD, career transitions, or improving productivity, can also find coaching valuable.

How does a coaching session look like?

We'll start by discussing your goals and any challenges you face and checking what you want to focus on in that session. We will then explore the issue with thought-provoking questions to help you gain new insights and consider different perspectives. We'll identify practical steps and strategies to move you closer to your goals. We’ll set specific, achievable milestones for you to work on between our sessions. I'll support and motivate you throughout this journey, ensuring you stay on track and feel empowered.

What is the recommended duration for individual coaching?

The ideal duration for individual coaching can vary depending on the individual's needs. Generally, a commitment of 3 to 6 months is recommended, as it gives enough time to build a coach-client relationship and set clear goals. Initial sessions usually take place weekly and last about 50 minutes. After the initial period, the coach-client reviews progress and makes any necessary adjustments to the plan, like changing how often sessions happen or extending the coaching period. The coaching relationship usually ends when clients feel confident, they've achieved their goals or can keep progressing independently.

What do a coach expect from a client?

As a coach, it's essential to have certain expectations from clients to ensure a successful coaching relationship. Clients should be committed to the process, actively participating in sessions and following through on agreed-upon actions. Openness and honesty about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences are crucial for accurately identifying challenges and developing effective strategies. Clients should take responsibility for their progress, understanding that the coach provides guidance and support, but the ultimate implementation of changes lies with them. Patience and persistence are also necessary, as progress may be gradual and require consistent effort.
